Dr. D.P. Asija (1991-2007)

He was an Enlightened Educationist and a Vibrant Administrator. During his tenure college progressed a lot especially in the following areas:

Permanent recognition by NCTE for B.Ed & M.Ed
Upgradation of the college as Institute of Advanced study in Education by Government of India
ISO 9001 : 2000 Certification
NAAC accredited the college at the A + level with 93 % marks.
NAAC recommended this college to be upgraded as a deemed university
Approval of major research project by UGC
Kurukshetra University recommended to UGC for selection of this institute as a ‘College with Potential for Excellence’
College adjudged to be the National Winner for the Best Integration of Technology in Education
Establishment of Sri Aurobindo Centre By UGC during X Plan and its extension for XI Plan
Establishment of the Centre for Innovations, Research and Development in the college for conducting research and extension activities
The only college in the Faculty of Education in the Whole country selected under the scheme of UGC for Innovative Programs (2004 – 2005)
Automation of the College Library
Establishment of Language Laboratory, Psychology Lab, Maths Lab, Science Discovery Centre and Science Park
Construction of Administrative Block and Guest House
Creation of Technology savvy infrastructure
